Common beginner questions

  • Service

    • Which localities is the service available for?

      Derbii is available across Delhi/NCR - New Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Manesar, NOIDA, Greater NOIDA and Ghaziabad.

      Even in Delhi/NCR, we might not be able to serve you if we do not have enough matching co-passengers to start service.

      If you live or work in any other areas close by, we could still probably serve you. Just drop us a mail at or simply call us and we will help you out.

    • Can I opt for a trial?

      Sure. We offer 2-day trials during which you can assess if you are comfortable with the service. Should you choose to continue after 2 days, you will be billed on a regular, monthly basis. Should you choose to discontinue after the trial, you will still need to pay for the 2 days.

    • Can I avail the service for one-way?

      We can offer you one-way services depending on your route and seat-availability. We always give preference to commuters traveling both-ways, however.

    • Can I use Derbii for select days?


      Derbii is only available as a monthly subscription-based service that runs 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, throughout the month.

      As Derbii grows, we do plan to roll out facilities for select days and weekends as well.

    • How many people would I share the vehicle with?

      We'll finalize a Derbii for you once there are people we can match you up with. You'll be sharing a 4-seater AC vehicle with a maximum of 3 other people or a 6-seater AC vehicle with a maximum of 5 other people. We could also provide a larger vehicle depending on the route if we're sure it would not lead to delays.

    • Would the vehicles run on fixed times? How much would I have to adjust my timings?

      No, there are no fixed timings. The entire point of Derbii is to ensure convenience and regularity. The vehicle would pick you up within 10 to 15 minutes of the time that you'll specify. Unlike buses and feeders, you won't have to stand in wait for the next ride to arrive. The Derbii vehicle will be dedicated to you.

    • Would the Derbii pick me up from my doorstep or would there be a common pickup point for a locality?

      We don't want you spending time and energy travelling to or waiting at a vehicle-stop. The Derbii will pick you up at your doorstep and drop you right at your office and back while returning. Our system designs routes in a way that causes minimal to no delays on account of door-to-door pickups and drops.

    • Is there any provision for vehicles dedicated only for female commuters?

      Absolutely. By default, our system designs routes that never have female commuters being picked up first or dropped last. In addition, you can tell us if you want a female-only Derbii and we'll provide you one, subject to availability.

    • How can I start using Derbii?

      You can download our mobile app here or sign up with us here.

    • If I sign up now, can I back out later?

      Of course.

      Signing up now doesn't mean you're obligated to use Derbii. If you change your mind, we won't bother you. You can stop availing our services at any time you like.

      Signing up now just lets us know that you are interested and that we should go ahead and try to provide you a vehicle. You can always say no once we suggest you matches.

    • Can I use Derbii without a smartphone?

      You can sign up with us here on your PC or laptop without needing a smartphone.

      If you start traveling with Derbii, however, you will need to use our mobile app.

  • Pricing

    • What is the pricing structure?

      We offer a flat pricing structure that let's you travel at Rs. 3 per kilometer with a standard base charge of Rs. 50 or Rs. 70 depending on your route. In addition, we offer discounts over certain routes. You can view the pricing details for your route here.

    • How will I be paying for the service?

      You can pay online using our mobile app.

      You can add money to your Derbii wallet and we will deduct the dues at the end of the month.

    • Do you have a referral system?

      We do!

      You can find your Referral Code once you login in with us on Facebook Messenger or our mobile apps. Share the code with your friend and once your friend starts riding in a Derbii, each of you will earn a discount of Rs. 500 for the subsequent month of service.

      You can refer as many people as you like but you can avail a maximum discount of Rs. 1000 per month. Your referral discounts will be credited to your wallet for use over successive months.
